MANAGING ATTORNEY
KRYSTAL R. WILSON
ESQUIRE
BIO
Krystal Wilson is a passionate and driven advocate barred in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
REAL ESTATE AND HOUSING:
Krystal met with parties in City Court to mediate 100+ rental disputes between tenants and the local Housing Authority, mitigate litigation, and negotiate payment schedules. Her experience includes preparing abstracts and title examinations for real estate transactions by verifying legal records and recording deeds through the Clerk of Court and at the county Land Records. Through civil litigation, she also represents clients regarding property boundary disputes and land owner rights.
Krystal furthered the mission of the NAACP Housing Committee's SELMA initiative by outlining remedies to protect and preserve the rights of homeowners facing foreclosure. She drafted complaints and motions, and brought forth precedent litigation for civil procedure, foreclosure procedure, foreclosure defenses and applicable laws related to consumer protection.
FAMILY MATTERS:
Krystal's law office experience began prior to owning her firm, where as a law clerk, she focused on helping plaintiffs and defendants in family law matters under Maryland and D.C. jurisdiction. Now a seasoned attorney, she offers a strong background preparing premarital and separation agreements, complaints for divorce, custody, visitation and child support, as well as counseling clients on judicial guidelines.
Prior to all proceedings, she offers clients mediation services and advises on strategic plans and alternatives for continuing the marriage, retaining custody, and protecting assets. Many clients have found uncontested resolution though an amicable settlement on the issues. She has dealt directly with opposing parties, co-counsel and judges' chambers to draft orders and bring parties to mutual agreement resulting in the best interest of the children.
